Ecosystems are increasingly becoming one of the most significant trends in today’s business. At its core, the ecosystem concept is about creating an innovation jointly with partners, a firm could not achieve in isolation. This allows companies to grow and differentiate beyond the boundaries of their limited resources, capabilities, and skills. Also, it allows them to utilize novel trends and technologies, such as blockchain and AI, especially in the case of more traditional firms with limited knowledge in these domains. However, ecosystems are also a buzzword and many firms are still struggling to understand how to utilise their potentials in reality.
